About

The relationship between an editor and an author is a collaboration. I understand the difficulty in crafting a narrative and that writing can be both challenging and emotional, and I’m careful to always maintain your voice, but all writers need a little help.

Sometimes it just takes a step back and a fresh set of eyes to help polish your writing and bring out the best possible piece of work it can be. Whether it’s cleaning up the grammar and punctuation, checking to make sure your narrative is consistent, or an in depth edit I am here to help make your writing shine.

I have always had a love and respect for the written word. When I was growing up I would spend hours reading in my room to the point I didn’t get anything else done. My mom often tells people how I would hide decoy books so when she came to take the book I was reading she would take the wrong one.

I am excited to be able to combine my passion with my vocation and to use my skills to help others craft their work into the best it can be. In college I studied English and went on to get a master’s degree from the University of Edinburgh with a dissertation focusing on Renaissance literature. I received a copyediting certificate from the University of California San Diego and have also taken courses with the Editor Freelancers Association.

When I’m not editing or reading I love spending time with my family outside. We live on Martha’s Vineyard and love spending our days exploring the beaches, and hiking in the woods.
