FAQ

Q: Do I need an editor?

A: Absolutely! Every writer can use an editor to help make their work the best it can possibly be. Sometimes it can be difficult to see the errors or inconsistencies in your own writing and an editor can help make your work as good as it can be.

Q: How much does it cost to edit a manuscript?

A: Each project is different so there is no set price. The cost depends on what you, as the writer, need as well as the word count of the document. The overall price will be dictated by the word count, services, and whether you need a rush edit.

Q: How long will it take to get the manuscript back?

A: This depends on the services that you request as well as my availability. Once we set a timeline I will work to complete the project on schedule.

Q: What does my manuscript look like when I get it back?

A: I edit in Microsoft Word using track changes. When I complete the project you will receive an electronic version of your manuscript with all my changes shown. Nothing is changed in your manuscript without your approval, these are my suggestions and you do not need to implement them.

Q: How do I work with you?

A: After I receive your manuscript we will have a chat to make sure that we are on the same page with the services you want. After I receive your deposit and a signed agreement I will begin working on your manuscript. When the edit is complete you will receive an electronic copy of your manuscript with my edits. For an additional fee I can go over the changes you make to the edited manuscript checking for consistency and any new errors.

Q: How do I know if I will like your edits?

A: I am happy to complete a sample edit of your work for free.
